Digital work with the iPad
The digital future of teaching is already the standard for us today.
Schloss Torgelow is a performance-oriented boarding school with an educational concept that we have continuously developed over the years. We know that the future of education and career is digital. Therefore, it is important for us to prepare our students for the challenges of digital, lifelong learning even during their school years.
We have already taken many steps on the path of digitalizing education. Our classrooms and specialist rooms are equipped exclusively with digital Cleartouch© displays and PCs. The school cloud IMS and video teaching during the coronavirus pandemic have already made digital learning at Schloss Torgelow a matter of course.
iPad©-supported instruction
With the introduction of iPad-supported teaching, we are further developing our students’ digital skills and taking advantage of the numerous benefits of digital instruction with the iPad.
The iPad© in the classroom at Schloss Torgelow is not a toy for students, but a school work tool that, through the use of digital textbooks and educational apps, enables a new dimension of learning. Digital worksheets, learning tests, and digital recordings facilitate quick sharing and monitoring of work results. The clear organization of content in just one device has the advantage that materials for all subjects can be easily carried anywhere.
Start in the 7th grade
Since the beginning of the school year 2023/2024, all students from the seventh grade onwards work with the iPad©. Classes 5 and 6 are still taught traditionally. In these classes, writing skills are still to be consolidated.
Free APPLE IPAD©
The school has chosen the Apple iPad as the student device, which is provided free of charge by Schloss Torgelow. A paid upgrade to the iPad Air is available upon request.
Training of the teaching team
Our teachers have already deepened and expanded many digital competencies through digital teaching during video classes. They are regularly trained to use the iPad as a teaching tool.

iPad as a managed device for school
The iPad at Schloss Torgelow is solely an educational device, whose apps and access are centrally controlled by the school administration through the JAMF platform. Neither personal apps can be installed, nor can the iPad be used for non-educational activities outside predetermined time windows. Therefore, the iPad is not a multifunctional toy, but a working tool for school purposes. Personal apps cannot be installed.
