Speed meets Science

At the STEM Racing Event, our students were able to experience how much engineering is involved in a mini race car.

On October 13, 2025, we had a special visit: A student group from the Baltic Evolution team in Greifswald was our guest and introduced us to the exciting competition STEM Racing. The guests enthusiastically provided insights into their elaborate project work – from construction to technology to team management.

Of course, they also had their super-fast mini race cars with them: tiny vehicles powered by compressed air cartridges that can reach speeds of up to 80 km/h!

After an exciting presentation, our students were allowed to actively participate. Using various components, they created individual racing cars that then competed against each other on a 20-meter test track. By the time they were waiting for the starting signal, the true Formula 1 atmosphere set in – complete with cheering, excitement, and an adrenaline rush.

A heartfelt thank you goes to the Baltic Evolution team and their supervisor Mr. Bernheiden for this impressive afternoon filled with technology, team spirit, and racing excitement!
