*At the STEM Racing Event, our students were able to experience how much engineering is involved in a mini race car.*

On October 13, 2025, we had a special visit: A student group from the Baltic Evolution team in Greifswald was our guest and introduced us to the exciting competition [STEM Racing](https://stemracing.de/). The guests enthusiastically provided insights into their elaborate project work – from construction to technology to team management.

Of course, they also had their super-fast mini race cars with them: tiny vehicles powered by compressed air cartridges that can reach speeds of up to 80 km/h!

After an exciting presentation, our students were allowed to actively participate. Using various components, they created individual racing cars that then competed against each other on a 20-meter test track. By the time they were waiting for the starting signal, the true Formula 1 atmosphere set in – complete with cheering, excitement, and an adrenaline rush.

A heartfelt thank you goes to the Baltic Evolution team and their supervisor Mr. Bernheiden for this impressive afternoon filled with technology, team spirit, and racing excitement!
