Life can be so beautiful. And it is especially beautiful when you are entrusted with a task that brings joy, promises fun, moves you to tears, and you have the chance to visit impressive personalities in their professional environment.

I, Kirsten Lehmann, have the privilege of meeting former graduates of Schloss Torgelow in the film series “Kirsten Meets…” and visiting them in their current lives.

What I experienced during my visits, what I learned about the different career paths of the former students, their goals, and their time at Schloss Torgelow, has been captured on camera by Jens Lange from “flamencofilm.” The resulting films are multifaceted, very personal, full of life, a bit “sentimental,” and there are one or two challenges for me to master.

Episode 12: Kirsten meets…..Richard Wagner, architect with his own firm “WANDERS WAGNER ARCHITECTS” in Dubai. Desert Swing Part 1 – an inspiration.

Richard graduated from high school at Schloss Torgelow in 1998. Subsequently, he studied architecture in Beirut and California.

I had the opportunity to visit Richard in Dubai and accompany him for a whole day. A film was created about Richard, about life in the desert state, about architecture and design, about the right angle, about building, about friendship and family, and about courage. A film that shows what one can achieve when one fights for their dreams, stands up for their visions, believes in opportunities, and remains curious.

Dear Richard, thank you very much for two days full of impressions and insights, full of architectural masterpieces and innovations. I had the privilege of meeting you as a visionary architect and witnessing firsthand how you inspire others with your ideas, how competent and confident you lead your team, how calmly you juggle countless calls, how extensive your knowledge is, and how deeply your heart beats for Dubai and an open world. I had the opportunity to meet your partner Nathalie during my yoga challenge, and with her warm-hearted support, I was able to overcome this challenge as well. I felt my limits and experienced how lovingly you helped me overcome them. Thank you for the friendship, the connection, and the chance to visit you far away from the Torgelow roots. I will never forget that. The visit to Dubai and my meeting with you was a great gift. Thank you.
