Episode 26 “Kirsten Meets…”: Simon Wasielewski, pharmacist and branch manager at the “easyApotheke” Altona

Simon completed his Abitur at Schloss Torgelow in 2009 and then trained as an emergency medical technician and paramedic. He subsequently worked as a paramedic, during which time he discovered his interest in pharmacy. From 2013 to 2020, Simon studied pharmacy in Hamburg while already gaining practical experience in pharmacies alongside his studies. In 2021, Simon became a pharmacist at the “easyApotheke” in Altona. One year later, he took on the permanent role as the owner’s deputy and now serves as branch manager. His colleagues say: “Simon is our favorite pharmacist. He is highly competent, always helpful and approachable, and a true role model.”

I had the opportunity to visit Simon in Hamburg and get to know “his” pharmacy. I was able to experience how much expertise, passion, clarity, and humor he brings to leading the easyApotheke. I also took part in my challenge as an assistant pharmacist and can fully understand why Simon is described by both his team and customers as their “favorite pharmacist.”

Simon, every second of my visit with you was a heartfelt moment. The qualities that already distinguished you as a student were just as tangible in your professional environment. Your high level of expertise, your kindness, your patience, your smile, your ability to listen, and your presence are felt the moment you step into the “easyApotheke.” With you, conversations and completing tasks always seem attentive, warm, and effortless.

With great pride, I was able to see how motivated your team is in serving your customers. With deep affection, I could watch how “Mini-Wasi” has grown into a successful man who stands firmly in the life of a pharmacist, always maintaining a keen sense for life and for people. Dear Simon, thank you for opening the door to your world as a pharmacist. Dear “easyApotheke” team, thank you for making the day so special.
