High School Diploma 2025: A graduating class with heart – and an average of 1.75

51 young people have taken their Abitur this year at the Private Boarding School Schloss Torgelow. The overall average of the graduating class is an outstanding 1.75. Behind this number lies far more than performance: It is the result of curiosity, diligence, courage, and many years of learning, living, and growing together.

Many of this year’s high school graduates have been part of our school community since the fifth grade. What they take with them are not only grades but also experiences, friendships, memories – and the feeling of having had a temporary home.

Four times the top grade 1.0 – and much more than that.

Particularly gratifying: Four high school graduates achieved the dream grade of 1.0. One female student with the top grade of 1.0 is even just 16 years old. Also remarkable: A peer graduate impressed with an excellent overall average of 1.2. Over 60 percent of the class scored between 1.1 and 1.9. But it is not only these numbers that make us proud.

The high school graduates of the class of 2025 not only stand out for their academic strength but also for their personal maturity, team spirit, and warmth. They were co-creators of our boarding school community – with heart, attitude, and humor.

A farewell with a lot of heart

Traditionally, Mario Lehmann, founder and bearer of Schloss Torgelow, delivered the closing speech. This year, it was particularly personal: each graduate was honored with an individual speech contribution. Memories were revived, smiles and tears were often close together. Between applause and the pain of farewell, there was a silent magic of closeness, gratitude, and pride.

“51 names you should remember as an employer”

In 2025, an advertisement will again appear in the job market of three major German daily newspapers – with the same title. Since 2015, Schloss Torgelow has been honoring cohorts that achieve an overall grade point average better than 2.0. It is a caring and simultaneously self-assured gesture that demonstrates that not only knowledge is imparted here, but personalities are also nurtured.

What comes after the Abitur?

48 high school graduates already have concrete plans. Many will start studying in the fall – in medicine, law, engineering, and with a particularly large number in the field of business administration. A few grant themselves a break to discover new things. What they all have in common is that they are entering life with a strong foundation.
