Cambridge successes at the Schloss Torgelow boarding school
In the 2024/2025 school year, many students from the Schloss Torgelow boarding school achieved outstanding results in the Cambridge exams, thereby demonstrating their high English skills.
The Cambridge exams, which are recognized worldwide, are assessed by external examiners. They consist of several challenging components: speaking, listening comprehension, reading comprehension, writing, and use of English in context. The successful performances of our students in all these areas not only demonstrate solid language skills but also a high level of communicative competence and language awareness.
In December 2024, 13 students from the high school graduation class received the challenging C2 Cambridge Proficiency Certificate – the highest possible language level. Particularly noteworthy are two candidates who achieved the top grade of A, along with two others who received a B. A strong indication of excellent language proficiency.
With great success, our 11th grade students took the C1 Cambridge Advanced exam in February 2025. 21 of them secured the certificate, which certifies advanced language skills at an academic level.
A special success was achieved in March 2025 by our eighth graders: all 25 participants in the B1 Cambridge Preliminary exam passed – 14 of them even with an A, and four with a B. This cohort impresses with commitment, team spirit, and strong language skills.
In April 2025, 41 students from the 10th grade took the B2 Cambridge First exam. The results are impressive: 12 received an A grade, 13 received a B grade – thus, many have already demonstrated competencies above the level of the exam.
An A in a Cambridge exam shows that the students have already reached the next higher language level – an impressive testament to their abilities.
