Abitur 2022-2024: Schloss Torgelow with consistently above-average performance
On the occasion of the current high school final exams, we have once again reviewed the feedback report from the state of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, which provides a detailed comparative analysis of the Abitur results from 2022 to 2024. Schloss Torgelow consistently performs above average in this statewide comparison across all three years – both in the overall average and in the central exam subjects. Naturally, we hope that the current graduating class also performs well, and we are keeping our fingers crossed for the K2 students.
We have evaluated the report internally at the state level. And we have summarized the results from Schloss Torgelow once again:
Average grade above the state average.
The average Abitur grade of the school was significantly above the state average of 2.3 in the years 2022 (1.7), 2023 (1.5), and 2024 (1.7). This confirms the high level of performance of the school in the statewide assessment.
Strong in the core subjects
In the written Abitur exams, the students from Torgelow consistently achieve significantly higher scores compared to the statewide average. This is particularly evident in the courses with advanced (eAN) requirements. A comparison in the courses with basic requirements (gAN) is only meaningful when a higher number of exam participants were involved. This is the case for the subject of mathematics.
Extended requirement (eAN) corresponds to the advanced courses of the subjects:
| German | Mathematics | English | ||||
| ST | Land | ST | Land | ST | Land | |
| 2022 | 11,5 | 9,0 | 11,9 | 7,7 | 12,1 | 10,3 |
| 2023 | 12,1 | 9,3 | 14,1 | 7,8 | 13,4 | 10,1 |
| 2024 | 10,2 | 8,9 | 12,2 | 8,7 | 12,3 | 9,9 |
Basic requirement (gAN) corresponds to the basic courses of the subjects:
| Mathematics CAS | ||
| ST | Land | |
| 2022 | 9,5 | 4,9 |
| 2023 | 10,6 | 5,2 |
| 2024 | 9,7 | 6,6 |
A stable performance profile
The three cohorts demonstrate a consistently high level of achievement with only minor fluctuations. Our students also achieved similar excellent results in the exams for biology, physics, chemistry, social studies, and geography, most of which were assessed via eAN.
In conclusion, it can be stated that the results attest to a consistently high professional level for our graduates. They show that our educational work stands for quality, continuity, and a clear commitment to performance.
Responsibility and Claim
Principal Heidrun Franke emphasizes: “We are pleased with the very good performance of our students in the past graduating classes. However, at the center of our work is more than just the Abitur average. Our main goal is to prepare young people for life – academically, personally, and in light of a future that continually presents new challenges. School must empower, encourage, and support.”
