A moment of Christmas and peace
In the spirit of Christmas and peace, this year’s Christmas concert at the Schloss Torgelow boarding school in St. George’s Church in Waren featured a very special moment: employees stood together on stage and sang “Shalom Chaverim” – a song of peace, farewell, and solidarity. The students were spread out in groups throughout the church, filling the space with their quiet presence and attentiveness.
This created an impressive musical dialogue between the stage and the church interior, between adults and young people, between voice and silence. “Shalom Chaverim” became more than just a song: it became a symbol of community, respect, and hope—and a moment that made the spirit of Christmas and peace particularly tangible.
