With EXAM.AI to the finals: Schloss Torgelow impresses at business@school
Creative, confident, and forward-looking – this is how the team from Schloss Torgelow presented themselves at the regional finals of business@school. in Berlin. Even though it barely fell short of first place, the presentation of the business idea EXAM.AI was a real highlight and a strong signal of what young people can achieve with curiosity, expertise, and teamwork.
Carlotta (19), Maximilian (17), Leonid (17), and Johann (18) developed the business idea for EXAM.AI – an AI-supported app for realistic preparation for oral Abitur exams – over several months of work. The application simulates typical exam situations, creates personalized questions, and provides well-founded feedback. An innovative concept that visibly impressed the jury.
With a clearly structured pitch, a well-thought-out business plan, and a convincing Q&A session in which the team had a solid answer to every question, the students from Torgelow demonstrated what they are capable of. EXAM.AI was not only technically well thought out, but also strongly developed in market analysis, target group approach, and growth potential.
The first place went to a team from Berlin, which impressed with a modular pencil case (“ModCase”). However, even though EXAM.AI narrowly lost in the end, the belief remains: this idea has a future. For our school, this appearance was a special moment, as it shows how far students can grow beyond themselves when they are passionate about an idea.

business@school – Experience economics, think entrepreneurship
The competition business@school is an educational initiative of the Boston Consulting Group (BCG), in which more than 1,000 students from around 70 schools participate each year. In three phases, they learn to analyze economic contexts, develop business models, and finally present their own business ideas. They are supported by teachers and over 400 volunteer coaches from companies and BCG itself.
The goal of the project is to promote economic thinking, strengthen teamwork, and make entrepreneurial action tangible. At the regional final in Berlin, the best teams from Berlin, Brandenburg, and Mecklenburg-Vorpommern competed against each other. They pitched before a distinguished jury from the business and start-up scene with ideas that were well thought-out, creative, and future-oriented. What united all the teams was the courage to stand before a jury and present their own idea – professionally, convincingly, and with a lot of passion.
And how does it continue?
Schloss Torgelow will also be participating again next year. The excitement is great, and the next teams are already brainstorming, tinkering, and planning. Because once you have felt the spirit of entrepreneurship, you know: The next good idea is bound to come.
