Joy of experimentation meets competitive spirit.
Paper is boring? Far from it! Under the motto “Nonsense – just silly talk? Not at all! Paper is a fascinating material that cannot be imagined without in all areas of our lives, even with digitalization.” (IJSO, task sheet) the… The International Junior Science Olympiad 2025 invites young researchers to explore the diverse properties of paper – with experiments, creativity, and scientific curiosity.
Our school was also represented by three motivated students: Benedict (6b), Tessa (8b), and Ella-Victoria (8c) took on the challenge. In weeks of independent work, they conducted exciting experiments, analyzed, and documented their findings—all in the spirit of science. All three showed not only perseverance but also genuine enthusiasm for research. With success: all participants qualified for the second round of the competition—a strong achievement!
Invitation to the Junior Researcher Days in Mainz
A special highlight: Benedict (6b) was invited as one of the youngest participants nationwide to the Junior Researcher Days in Mainz. There, he was able to further deepen his skills, network with other young scientists, and gather new insights for his research journey.
