Life can be so beautiful. And it is especially beautiful when you are entrusted with a task that brings joy, promises fun, moves you to tears, and you have the chance to visit impressive personalities in their professional environment.

I, Kirsten Lehmann, have the opportunity to meet former graduates of Schloss Torgelow in the film series “Kirsten Meets…” and visit them in their current lives.

What I experienced during my visits, what I learned about the various career paths of former students, their goals, and their time at Schloss Torgelow, has been captured on camera by Jens Lange from “flamencofilm.” The resulting films are multifaceted, very personal, full of life, a bit sentimental, and there are one or two challenges for me to overcome.

Definitely watch, save the date, and celebrate with me. Have fun!

Episode 2: Kirsten meets… Dr. Egor Dzyuba, Technical Development at Volkswagen AG, in the Autostadt Wolfsburg

Egor Dzyuba came to us in Torgelow from Russia in the sixth grade. At that time, he spoke almost no German. My father-in-law told me that Egor wisely stood on the sports field with a soccer ball on his first day at Schloss Torgelow and waited. Logically, Egor found many playmates, quickly improved his German, and soon felt at home in the boarding school community.

After successfully graduating from Schloss Torgelow, Egor studied chemistry in Berlin and earned his doctorate. He then joined Volkswagen AG, where he is now co-responsible for the interior design of Volkswagen models for the foreign market.

I had the opportunity to meet Egor for a day in the Autostadt in Wolfsburg and talk to him about cars, Volkswagen, life, and Schloss Torgelow.

A film about Egor, about cars, about communication, about a surprising realization, and a home.

Dear Egor, thank you for a day full of warmth, trust, and fun. It felt a bit like coming home.

@Egor: I know I say in the movie fifth grade: For Mario and me, you have always belonged and will always belong.

Episode 3 on March 15, 2018! Kirsten meets…….. Fabian Stenger, Managing Director at Flixbus in Berlin.

A film about Fabian, about traveling, about courage and determination, about an outstanding team and a great mission.
