Torgelow Castle Boarding School on the Road: Team Project “Tennis” Stayed in the North
Intensive, focused, and full of team spirit – this year’s tennis team project trip near Hamburg provided perfect conditions for athletic development, mental strength, and collective growth both on and off the court.
The training facility was located just outside Hamburg – a quiet, ideal place to fully concentrate on the game. The conditions on site were professional, and the environment was motivating. From the very first day, it was clear that not only individual skill was a priority, but above all, the collective growth as a team.
Close matches, long rallies, intense tiebreaks – every moment on the court was a new challenge, where it was not just about technique, but also about mental strength. The mutual support was particularly valuable: whether after a mistake or an outstanding point – one could feel that the team was behind you.
On the third day, we deliberately broke away from the training routine to experience a change of perspective. After a morning session, we headed to the city center of Hamburg, with the planetarium as our destination. Surrounded by stars, galaxies, and impressive projections, the group fell silent – a moment of wonder and tranquility after the intense training days.
The evenings were filled with enjoyment, community, and relaxation. We dined together in the small, atmospheric hotel restaurant—sometimes pizza, sometimes pasta. Each day was humorously rounded off with game nights. Whether it was “Werewolf” or “Who Am I?”—there was a lot of laughter, guessing, and discussion. After that, it was usually straight to bed, of course exhausted from training and the day’s experiences, but full of anticipation for the next.
