It was exciting until the last minute: Can we organize a Career Day at Torgelow Castle during the Corona times? Yes, we can! 35 universities and educational institutions were present live or online on November 19, 2021, and former students and parents also came to talk about their career paths.

The special thing: Due to Corona, the opening with the presentation of all educational institutions took place outdoors in mild November temperatures, and the information booths were set up in the gym for the first time – with plenty of space, fresh air, and treats from our service team. In addition, we were able to speak directly with university representatives in over 70 workshops during small discussion rounds, compare degree programs and locations, and think about where we see our academic future. Our 9th graders were also allowed to visit the “marketplace” to get an initial overview of the university landscape. Meanwhile, the 8th graders had the opportunity to participate online in the Inspiration Days from November 24 to 26 and ask questions to interesting speakers like Philipp Lahm, Sylvie Meis, or Tim Raue.

We have all gained very exciting insights, say “thank you” for many inspiring conversations, and are now even more looking forward to the future that lies ahead of us.
