When boarding schools encounter each other, there is traditionally a passionate game played. This year was the <\/i>Kurpfalz Boarding School<\/a> in Bammental host of the traditional team competition between Schloss Torgelow and the Kurpfalz Boarding School in the disciplines of golf, tennis, and bowling.<\/p>\n\n

Golf tournament with heart and precision<\/strong><\/p>\n\n

Our golfers kicked things off by traveling to Baden-W\u00fcrttemberg for two intense tournament days. A kind of “Ryder Cup” for the boarding schools was played at the Hohenhardter Hof Golf Club. Torgelow nominated the pairings that competed against the hosts in what is known as a foursome. In this format, a team of two players alternates playing one ball. This form of play requires not only technique but especially trust and communication. <\/p>\n\n

There was passionate fighting, tactical playing, and fair fighting. After nine exciting matches, the score was 4.5 to 4.5. A playoff was needed to make the decision. Anton represented Schloss Torgelow, while Florian represented the Kurpfalz boarding school. It was a duel of equals. Only with the last putt was the decision made in favor of the hosts. The golf trophy thus returns to Bammental. Our players returned to the lake with their heads held high. <\/p>\n\n

Bowling cup with tension until the last round<\/strong><\/p>\n\n

On the evening before the tennis competitions, the bowling cup was also contested. Both teams had an hour to make as many throws as possible. Once again, the duel was decided in the last five minutes. By a narrow lead, the trophy went to the Kurpfalz boarding school. <\/p>\n\n

Tennis at eye level<\/strong><\/p>\n\n

The next day, it was up to our tennis players to represent the colors of Torgelow. Both singles and doubles matches were played with great effort, sporting ambition, and lots of joy in the game. Point by point, the teams fought their way through the matches. Here too, the decision came down to the very last game. In the final tiebreak, the home team triumphed with a score of 12 to 10. <\/p>\n\n

Strong performance, strong community<\/strong><\/p>\n\n

Thus, all three trophies went to Bammental this year. Our Torgelow teams traveled with enthusiasm, fair play, and team spirit. Besides exciting matches, they returned to the lake with new experiences, strengthened friendships, and many beautiful encounters. <\/p>\n\n

A heartfelt thank you to the Kurpfalz boarding school for the hospitality, the perfect organization, and the fair competitions. We look forward to the next meeting with just as much sporting ambition and perhaps a few more points for Torgelow. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
