Willi competed last weekend at the Northern German Championships for the U20 category. Due to his excellent performances at the state championships two weeks ago, he had qualified for this title competition and was able to impress again. <\/i><\/p>\n\n
In his standout discipline, the long jump, he took the lead right from his first jump. He extended this lead with each jump and achieved the best distance of the day in the fourth round under regular wind conditions with 7.02m. No competitor, even those up to two years older, could match that. The well-deserved reward for Willi was the gold medal and the title of “Northern German Champion.” <\/p>\n\n
Willi also improved his performance in the sprint. He increased his time to an impressive 11.04 seconds for 100 meters. <\/p>\n\n
In two weeks, the highlight of the year will be the German Championships in Bochum. We wish him all the best and much success! <\/p>\n\n
