An excursion that turned history into an adventure. <\/em><\/p>\n\n<p>As the 6th graders at the Schloss Torgelow boarding school are currently studying Homer&#8217;s tales about the adventures of Odysseus in their German class, they visited the Schliemann Museum in Ankershagen in the fall. Heinrich Schliemann, inspired by the mythological world of Homer, embarked on a quest for ancient Troy and grew up in Ankershagen. The former rectory, where his father worked, is now part of the museum, which is dedicated to his extraordinary life story. Schliemann \u2013 a successful merchant, linguistic talent, and amateur archaeologist \u2013 uncovered several historical sites during his excavations and unearthed precious treasures. Perhaps Homer&#8217;s Troy was among them!    <\/p>\n\n<p>The students got to know this very interesting, but also controversial multimillionaire, and thanks to the great playground, they also dived into the adventures and wanderings of the hero Odysseus. The Trojan Horse as a slide\u2026 fantastic! As if that weren&#8217;t enough: at the end, everyone got to shoot with Odysseus&#8217;s bow and design plates in the style of ancient vase painting.  <\/p>\n\n<p>A truly successful trip! Oh, and now we also know what the anchor in Ankershagen is all about.
