The school and boarding fee for the school year 2026\/2027 is unfortunately not yet determined at this time.<\/em><\/p>\n\n

All cost contributions are charged as an annual fee and can be paid in 12 monthly installments. The installment will be deducted on the 1st of the following month. If the admission to the boarding school occurs only during the school year, the cost contributions will be calculated on a pro-rata basis. <\/p>\n

If parents pay for several siblings at the boarding school at the same time, all younger sibling children receive a 20% discount on the school and boarding fees.<\/p>\n

Due to general fluctuations in interest rates, Schloss Torgelow reserves the right to make changes regarding the discounts for annual or semi-annual advance payments at the beginning of the school year. Schloss Torgelow will announce such changes at least three months in advance. <\/p>\n <\/div>\n\n

Please note that additional costs<\/strong> (No. 5 of the contract) are not included in the school and boarding fees and will be billed to you separately through a student account. For students whose parents cannot afford the school and boarding fees for economic reasons, a limited number of merit-based scholarships<\/a> are available.<\/p>\n <\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n

Information on the tax deductibility of school and care costs<\/h3>

\n

Subject to legal amendments, the following tax deduction options apply:<\/p>\n

1. Tax deductibility of school expenses<\/h4>\n

In Germany, 30% of the incurred costs for school instruction can be claimed as special expenses for tax purposes. The maximum deductible amount is limited to 5,000 euros per year and child. Costs for accommodation, meals, care, as well as costs for school books and similar items are not included in school costs. Schloss Torgelow determines the relevant portion of school costs annually and certifies this at the beginning of the following calendar year.<\/p>\n

2. Deductibility of care costs in boarding schools<\/h4>\n

Parents with a child under 14 years old can deduct so-called care costs in addition to school costs as special expenses. 80%* \u2013 but a maximum of 4,000 euros* \u2013 of the care costs can be deducted per year and child. Costs for food, sports, or other leisure activities are not included in care costs. Schloss Torgelow calculates the relevant share of care costs annually and certifies this along with the school costs at the beginning of the following calendar year. (*valid from 01.01.2025) <\/p>\n
