Team Project Trip Golf 2025: Exciting Tournament Days in Usedom
Five days of intense training, fair competitions, many shared experiences, and a finale that couldn’t have been more exciting. The team project trip for golf from our boarding school to Korswandt in Usedom provided game, fun, and excitement.
Five intense days full of training, sporting challenges, and shared experiences lie behind the golf team. The goal of this year’s team project trip was Korswandt on Usedom, a place that provided the perfect setting with its challenging golf course and picturesque surroundings. The course demanded a lot from the young players: long and narrow fairways, steep climbs and descents, as well as the necessary precision made each round a real challenge.
Monday was all about getting settled in. After checking into the rooms and having lunch together, the group headed to the field for the first time to warm up and familiarize themselves with the facility. In the evening, many took the opportunity to relax in the spa with the sauna and swimming pool before the day ended in a sociable setting. Whether it was Temple of Terror, City Country River, Impostor, or Poker, the evenings were filled with fun, exchange, and a good dose of silliness.
In the following days, intensive training took place on the golf course. The focus was on both short and long game, as well as video analysis, to specifically improve movement sequences. It was particularly nice that two teenagers successfully passed their course proficiency test during the week. This was a wonderful highlight and a well-deserved success after diligent training!
A special highlight of the week was the Usedom Ryder Cup 2025, an internal competition where Team Red and Team Blue faced off against each other. On the first day of play in the classic foursomes, Team Red narrowly won 2:1, before Team Blue retaliated the next day in the scramble format, also winning 2:1. This left the score balanced at 3:3 after two days. The third day, where six points were contested in singles matches, again resulted in a 3:3 tie, leading the tournament to an exciting playoff over three holes with a total score of 6:6. The decision was only made on the last hole in favor of Team Blue, which secured a close but deserved victory!
Between training sessions and competitions, there was plenty of time for共同 activities. Small shopping trips ensured that the supply of sweets and drinks never ran low, and the evenings provided an opportunity to wind down the days in a relaxed atmosphere.
At the end of the week, all participants reflected on a varied, sportingly challenging, and thoroughly successful time. Alongside technical advancements and much excitement on the field, the camaraderie and the many laughs stood out in particular. We are already very much looking forward to next year!
