“Takeshi’s Castle” at Torgelow Castle

Traditionally, the first weekend at the boarding school at Torgelow Castle began again with “Takeshi’s Castle.” All the students “fought” against Mr. Klein and Mr. Lehmann. This year, too, it was all about speed, skill, courage, perseverance, and game intelligence.

Linus from the sixth grade summarized the competition as follows:

“On September 1, 2023, at 2:00 PM, as every year at the beginning of the school year, ‘Takeshi’s Castle’ took place on the sports field of the Torgelow Castle boarding school. One had to complete difficult challenges from Takeshi to win a treasure chest full of candies at the end. Takeshi was the headmaster, Mr. Klein.”

“Takeshi’s Castle” took place throughout the grounds of Torgelow Castle. All students competed against teachers and mentors. However, in the end, only one could win. Participants had to complete various tasks, such as swinging over the pond or rolling balls into a ring.

But the last task seemed impossible: One had to climb up a 2.50-meter high wall using only two climbing knobs. At the top of the “wall” stood the treasure chest. In the end, eight students and one mentor made it to the finals. But then Benedikt from the 8th grade won. He shared the treasure with his mentoring group. In the end, everyone was dirty but satisfied.

We congratulate Benedikt and his A2 mentorship on the victory. We will be talking for a long time about the mud and liquid soap track, the competitive paddling, the “Pond of Horrors,” and the Mikado Challenge.
